NOTE: Obviously, he gave a false name to his marriage, perhaps not wanting to be associated with his father Jean Ratier who had been sentenced to death for murder on October 31, 1679, sentence confirmed by the Sovereign Council on December 31, 1680 and replaced by the hangman function. The name he gave was that of his brother-in-law Daniel Bouët who married his sister Marie Charlotte on September 27, 1696, in Quebec City.^2,3

As of 3 April 1704, his married name was Pierre Daniel BOUET.⁴ He died on 21 August 1723 at Hôtel-Dieu in Québec, QC, Canada, at the age of 43⁵ and was buried on 22 August 1723 at the Cemetery of the Poor in Québec, QC, Canada.⁵ His name at the time of death was written as Pierre RIQUER DIT DUBUISSON.⁵

     Marie-Catherine ROUSSEAU DIT LALIBERTE, was born on 26 June 1680 in Ste-Flaive-des-Loups, Les Sables-d'Oolonne, Poitou, France.^1,2 She married Pierre-Jean RATIER, son of Jean RATIER/RADIER DIT DUBUISSON and Marie RIVIERE, on 3 April 1704 in Notre-Dame-de-Québec, Québec, QC, Canada;
